Quick update, good news the roofer and electrician will be working over the next two weeks which will be a dramatic part of our repairs. Still more to come but this is a huge step forward. More kitten pictures coming soon. Those in NYC area have the opportunity to meet the Toyger November 19th and 20th. For more information see this link.

Catawissa Toyger is back, while we still have a lot to do over the next couple of months thanks to the support of family, friends and co-workers we have made steady progess in rebuilding.
Special thanks need to go to the Community Practice Service Line at the Geisinger Health System. Everyone's support during this time has been beyond anything I've ever experienced. Thank you doesn't adequately express my appreciation for all the prayers, wishes and assistance provided. The support has enabled me and my family to pull through this difficult time and to rebuild our future. I wish I could personally thank every person in Community Practice and at Geisinger. It's overwhelming to be able to work with such a great group of compassionate professionals.

P.S. The most difficult result of the flooding was the broken window and the loss of Bella, Seeking Smootches and Tiger Lilly. It's been well over a month and we keep checking the rescue organizations and are mourning their loss. Bella is a very difficult loss as she was one of our foundation females and a great pet. I will never forget picking her up from the airport when we first got her. She was a scared little kitten but grew up to be our alpha female.
We also miss Gage our beloved dog who passed away from cancer two weeks ago, we will miss his loyalty and those beautiful blue eyes. I'll miss his taking us for a walk, car rides and ice cream cones. He was an older rescue mutt when we got him but the 5 years we had him were wonderfu. He was the best, smartest dog in the world. Thanks go to Leighow Vets in Danville for their compassionate care.
Please take a minute to remember the terrible loss in Ohio this week. The lost of even one bengal tiger in this world is devasting and these majestic creatures deserve better treatment than we humans have allowed. If I have learned one thing in the past two months it's is the reminder that we need to treat both humans and animals as we would want to be treated.

The Good News-All the cats and kittens are fine. The Bad News NE Pennsylvania was hit hard by flooding last week. That included CatawissaToyger. We have a great selection of kittens available but we are unable to host visitors at this time. We'll be back as soon as possible but we have alot of cleanup to do both here and in the surrounding areas. Please keep all the people in your thoughts and prayers as they rebuild their lives. Thank you to all the help we have received to make the best of a bad situation.

Thanks to everyone's patience while we lost our stand out websites strips but it's been our most successful year in breeding. We have some stand out kittens and there is nothing more fun than a Toyger kitten. Especially one trying to defy gravity. Still sometimes gravity wins...... I'll be posting pictures over the next several days so stay tuned. However, just like my website abilities my photography isn't much better and won't due the Toygers justice. You really need to see them in person to appreciate them.
If you are looking for a cat who wants to be with people. The Toyger is the breed for you. But you have to remember that they need to be active. Play is important and if you have alot of valuables around your home. Put them in a cabinet for viewing, if you want to treasure something the Toyger will treasure it too, usually as their favorite toy. The Toygers can jump, twist, spin, climb and are very creative in figuring out how to get to the object of their attention.
The first few years of breeding have been interesting, learning more and more about our cats. Finding the perfect forever families for our pet kittens and matching cats and people. It's been fun, and most of all, after watching the evolution of the breed over the years that I've been involved, we've had better and better cats each time. The breed is so special and never have I seen cats who are so attached to their people.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay in updates! But we just recently reformatted the entire website to make it easier for updates! So, with that being said, expect more frequent updates from us! Yay! :)

Well, it's been a while, but our cats and kittens are growing. We've been lucky enough to get Carmel Latte for one litter and are awaiting the new arrivals. Additionally, we have a super new kitten Starlight from Toyger Haven. She is amazing and is going to the cat show in White Plains next weekend.
It was sad, but we had to retire Anna from breeding :(

Hey everyone! We have some exciting updates this time around! We added some new pics of our new litters of kittens. You can check them out in our 'Available Kittens' link above. Gosh! They grow up soo fast, and it's really exciting to watch how each new generation of toyger kittens improves from the last. Unfortunately, there are soo many people who want to help give a forever home to a toyger that the waiting list to actually recieve one is astonishing in itself. We toyger breeders want to make sure that the right people are getting this special breed so that we can fulfill our goal of providing the perfect toyger cat. If you really had your heart set on getting one, don't give up. We're constantly breeding new litters so that others can have an opportunity. Hey guys! Sorry we haven't posted anything new recently. We've been busy with cat shows and both Tommy and Bella have been doing very well. Bob from WildFx has some stunning males and we hope everyone got to see his male Starbuck on the cover of Cat Fancy Magazine, the January 2008 edition. That cat is something to see, but the future of the breed is only going to improve over the next couple of years and we are anticipating some great cats and have some interesting breedings coming up. So keep watching!

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. We recently made an appearance around Thanksgiving in White Plains, NY for another Cat Show. Thanks to everyone that came out to support us! We also have some exciting news updates for you that weren't there.

We just recently received two more additions to our feline family this past weekend. Much thanks and appreciation goes out to "Toyger Guru" Judy Sugden for showing us her great generosity and confidence during our early stages of development.

Welcome everyone! Well, the site is officially up and running, but changes and edits are still constantly going to be made, as this is a site in progress. The Catawissa Toyger website is slowly still in development, but it seems to be coming along pretty nicely.
